What happened when Miron Białoszewski, one of the most singular poets of the 20th century received a visit from America’s favorite guru-activist-poet, Allen Ginsberg? Białoszewski/Ginsberg explores possible stories, counterfactual narratives and alternative realities through the use of performance and multi-player, real-time scanning VR technology. This is a Nowy Teatr's production in cooperation with Dream Adoption Society during our residency at The Performing Garage, New York.

THE UNCANNY ADVENTURES OF ROBERT ROBUR

In “Robert Robur”, serious reflections on the insidious trap that technological progress sets up for us are interwoven with numerous pop-culture games and references. The aesthetic of the depicted world is very much defined by campy exaggeration. And playing with cinematic associations and literary tropes, in addition to providing outstanding entertainment value, is used here to create a coherent, dystopian vision of a future that is, quite unexpectedly, already here. Presented at The New School, New York.
