Upon encountering each other’s practices BRUD and the Dream Adoption Society realised they were quite similar to each other: an assemblage of people, objects, and ideas clustered around a charismatic center; the complementary use of Virtual Reality (by Dream Adoption Society) and 360 Video (by BRUD); experimental theater in Black Boxes and White Cubes.
We quickly agreed to make things together; we call it BRUDDAS.

Sound Installation / 360 Video by BRUD:
Written and Directed by Aditya Mandayam
Sound by Ummo Guru
The Encounter is BRUD’s adaptation of Stanislaw Lem’s The Cyberiad: From the Cyphroeroticon, or Tales of Deviations, Superfixations and Aberrations of the Heart.
In his 2018 manifesto Perimagia Aditya Mandayam calls for a New Opera. "We face a crisis,'' he writes. "A crisis of direction." He goes on to coin and define Perimagia, the visual and imaginary counterpart to Periphony, or fluid sound: Perimagia, the immersive image.
It is unclear when or where BRUD’s Perimagic Opera begins, or ends. There are no seats. The audience is situated on stage with the actors. Some actors are dressed plainly. Some are autonomous. Some may be "activated", like in video games. Cameras and modular synthesisers star as named characters. Surround sound envelopes the stage. The audience is treated as a magnetic fluid poured onto the stage. Activity is encouraged. "The audience has agency,'' Mandayam writes. "The audience is all-knowing."

VR / AR projects by Dream Adoption Society:

“Nothing”
VR Experience
Black square was never flat. It has always been an object, form, something. Black square is a controller - death, which the viewer uses to move in the virtual space. It is not used to keep the ilusion of the world. It is more this "thing" which makes it something rather then nothing. Experience virtual reality meditation based on Black square on white background by Kazimierz Malewicz and Bolesław Leśmian poetry. The experience is connected with "Nothing" theatre play at The Old Theatre in Krakow directed by Krzysztof Garbaczewski.

“Aporia. The City is the City”
VR Experience / AR application
Imagine two cities, where the inhabitants live in parallel realities. The streets are dou- bled, multiple crosshatches appear along the facades, giving out onto a sprawling view of the double city. Every building is a hybrid; two functions and two spaces co-exist simultaneously.
Created by: Aleksandra Wasilkowska, Krzysztof Garbaczewski, Anastasiia Vorobiova, Jagoda Wójtowicz, Maciej Gniady, Marta Nawrot, Wojtek Markowski, Jakub Oleś, Krystian Brych, Sebastian Sebulec, Karolina Kotlicka, Monika Olesko, Krzysztof Pyda, Paweł Paciorek, Maria Bogdaniuk, Krystyna Mogilnicka, Edyta Zielnik.
