A Madrigal Opera

Glass’s work is a kind of empty form in which you can pour very different, in principle free, theatrical content. The composer requires the completion of the work on stage by the director, who in principle is not limited by anything but the timeframe of the work’s duration dictated by the music. No wonder that such a specific mission was entrusted to Krzysztof Garbaczewski, whose ingenuity forces him to construct completely autonomous worlds governed by his own rules.
